I’m back where I first started

I left Sydney November 2015 to Bali to attend my friends wedding. It’s my first time in Asia, I loved the vibes and culture straight away and ended up staying longer then planned. Since November I’ve been to Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand – and now I’m back to where I started. I’m back in Bali!

Some pictures from my month here back in November/December.
My friends wedding, in Uluwatu.. SO BEAUTIFUL!

Street food. People keep telling me to be careful so I don’t get sick, there is a reason”bali-belly” is a word, haha. But I like to think that I’m a viking that doesn’t get sick 😉 so far so good! And I LOVE IT! So many different flavours and spices, I’m trying to tast as many new and different things as possible while I’m here.

Have seen so many beautiful sunsets while being here. This picture is taken at Legian Beach, in Kuta.

Bali is beautiful, but there are also so many unique Islands just a few hours on a speed boat from Bali. These pictures are from my visit at Nusa Penida.

imageIf you want to get away from all the tourists, and see something different – I really recomment you to go to Nusa Penida. It’s a small Island, a bit more expensive then Bali – almost no tourists, clearer water and nice beaches – amazing.
You can hire a scooter and drive to different spots, just drive carefully, as this is the main road on the Island:

imageThis visit really did something with me. I have realised how lucky and easy my life has been, growing up in Norway. Seing other cultures and how other people live have really teached me to appreciate my life. This is a typical local home in Nusa Penida.

Angel’s Billabong. You can park your scooter just 10-15 minutes walk from this beautiful spot. If you’re warm and sweat when you arrive, you can climb down the rocks and go for a swim 😉
