I’m also super grateful for the personal development this gives, not only for myself but it’s amazing to see other people grow aswell, by pushing limits and comfortzones. AND, the oportunity to cooporate and work together with great entrepreneurs and leaders – I have learned so much about myself and about other people. It’s been awesome so far, it’s been a journey, and this is just the beginning 😉 ! – Berit

Flexible office

People keep asking me how I work, do things, and how I grow my business and make it happen while I travel and explore the world at the same time. Therefore, I think it’s time to start and share more about this… First post up: MY OFFICE 16326317_10158126692510164_1747542788_o(For those who don’t know: I work in the Beauty and Health industry, online and over social media – feel free to check out our teampage: www.teambeautysecrets.com – Incredibly proud to be part of this awesome gang! <3)

My office changes all the time, and I LOVE IT. Since I work online, the only thing I need to get my work done is wifi…I have built my business from my computer/phone/pad, around in Europe, Asia and Australia – in everything from straw cottages in SE-Asia, without aircon where I could only stay inside and work before 10am and after 6pm (..was not possible to BREATH inside between these hours!!!) ..with frogs coming up from the drain in my sink! (This was a crazy and fun experience, haha!)IMG_7140 2 copy..to hotel rooms “with a view” – that irl was bunkers, with NO WINDOWS!! …to great hotels and beachfront-apartments with no worries at all 😉 !15536624_1056436564503244_531210359_o

And yes, ofcourse, It can be challenging to move around, travel and at the same time stay focused on work and business. There’s a lot of distractions and it can be exhausting. but, LIFE IS FULL OF DISTRACTIONS AND CHALLENGES, and everything CAN BE EXHAUSTING! It comes down to if you’re looking for solutions, or problems? If there is a will, there is a way, right? 😉

.. I love this and are super grateful for being able to do it! I love the freedom, I love the changes and the flexibility <3

Excuses or Results??

excusesTo Succeed is a choice – you can have results or Excuses – you can’t have both;)! What do you choose ??

The scariest part when it comes to excuses (my own experience) is that they sound SO LOGICAL!! You make excuses so you can “justify” for yourself why it’s ok not to take action, or why it’s ok not to leave your comfort zone to go after what you want – because, it’s much easier to just be right where you are. It’s safe. It’s comfortable… and with a “good excuse”, you’re excused too; P hehe, this is SCARY !!!!! DO NOT GET LOST HERE! TAKE ACTION! GO FOR RESULTS so you can reach your goals and dreams – you’re going to feel much better tomorrow !!! <3

Better late then never…

It takes time to change habits and I’m really working on getting this site up going! Last weekend I wrote that I was going to blog ATLEAST once a week (every Sunday) and more if I have time. So, even if it’s late, here is an update from my last travel experience in SE Asia!
15216224_10157825375180164_1198641975_oSiem Reap & Angkor Wat, Cambodia – Most people travel to Siem Reap because of Angkor Wat. For me it was the opposite. Poor/no planning and a spontaneous choice was the reason I suddenly found myself in Siem Reap. And Thanks to social media and some traveller-friends I realised: ANGKOR WAT IS ONLY 15 MIN AWAY FROM ME! haha15271726_10157825374425164_546816685_o
Apart from Angkor Wat, there’s not much to do in Siem Reap. If you’re a “normal” traveller you won’t need more then a few days there + a few days to see the temples.15216131_10157825374305164_792145894_oYou can book a guided tour in advanced/from your hotel, but if you’re the type of person waking up in the morning thinking “today I wanna go to the temples” (like me..) you can super easily go to Angkor Wat with a Tuk-tuk – just walk out on the road and wait for it 😉
We paid $20 (you can probably get it cheaper) for a guy to take us from temple to temple, and he waited for us and drove us the whole day. This was genius, as the area is HUGE! A good idea could also be to hire bikes and bike around (we were going to do it but I guess the laziness took us… NEXT TIME!)
15205825_10157825374910164_1435215917_oIf you want to know more about the story of Angkor Wat you can hire a guide when you arrive the temple ($14? – Check his/her english first!!..so you don’t end up with a guid you can’t understand.. talking of experience here, hehe). The ticket itself to access all the temples was $20 (1 day) or $40 (2 days).

You buy the ticket/entrance pass on the way the way to the temples, your driver/guide will take you to the information center where you can get it (And yes, they take the photo for you, no need to bring any – just show up & smile… like me:P… )15205692_10157825533510164_505247651_oWhen I first heard about Angkor Wat I thought it was just one temple, but it’s actually a huge temple complex!! And all the temples are amazing and very different/unique. Really impressive – how it’s build and preserved, and was super cool to walk around, and inside the temples while woundering about how it was back then and how they did it! Really worth a visit, I can promise it will be totally different from any place or temple you have ever seen before! – Berit

This freedom… I’m back in Asia!

Most people automatically set a goal in life when young, to buy their first apartment, their first car, and all these things that you grow up thinking that you should get. I used to be the same, because, that’s what everyone talks about: after school – work and save money so you can buy your first apartment…

I’ve been confused the last few years about what I want, after starting my own business my mind has been “fighting” between: “I wanna be free and do whatever I want”, and “I want to settle down and buy an apartment”. THEN a friend, which just bought his first apartment said to me: No one told me about this “trap”! Yes, I have my own place, but now I have to work to pay off my loan, and, I’m stuck here!
It’s not necessarily like this for everyone, but, for alot of people it is. And after this, I’ve realised that for now: I want to be free.

I’m not writing this to tell you that this way of living is “wrong”. and I’m not trying to tell you how you should live your life – What you want is up to you, and we all have different desires in life and different ideas of how we want to live our lives.
I’m writing this because I keep getting in contact with people that are sick of their life, because they feel stuck. They feel trapped in a place they don’t want to be, and that they have to go to a job they don’t like, just to pay off their loans and bills. So, I’m writing this just as an inspiration, to share that it is possible for you to do what you want, even if the rest of society tells you something else… If you want a change in your life, stop thinking about it and DO SOMETHING!

For me, the freedom of having no loans, no dept and no house or car to take care of, has taken me to amazing places. I’ve met some beautiful people that will be in my life for forever, and I’ve learned so much about myself and life. I have the freedom to be wherever I want to be. There is no place I have to be tomorrow, or next week. I’ve been able to travel around, and I book my flights to new destinations just few days before depature. And I can stay as long as I want (if the visa allowes me ofcourse) – It’s like being on a never ending vacation. If I only travelled for this long, I would probably get tired and sick of this lifestyle. But because I’m bringing my work with me, I work aswell – so I never get bored! And if I do get tired, I can extend my stay and chill in my room for a few days without anyone telling me what to do.. And the most amazing thing for me is:
I can’t remember last time I woke up to an alarm.. I go to bed and I sleep for 6-7 hours and I wake up by the daylight through my window.. Grateful? YES.
Ofcourse I want a home later, and I want my own place – I’m just not willing to do it the “normal” way, to get that loan and be stuck somewhere to pay off my dept. I want my own place when I’m ready for it and can pay for it.
imageSo, I’m back in Asia again for a while. Back to the good, relaxing vibes, hot weather and tasty, cheap food! Ended up with a not planned weekend in Bali, which was awesome (for the third time this year! I love it) And now I’m in Bangkok, for the first time. Bangkok is a bit crazy but I like it – will write some tips and advises later..
So grateful for this freedom, and, yes, it’s far out of what used to be my comfortzone, and yes I’ve been doubting myself many times – but today I’m so grateful I’ve been pushing myself to overcome the fears and all the doubts  –  it’s the only way to get somewhere. If you want a change in your life, you have to change aswell. Just go for it! – Berit
